Presented by the Museum of North Idaho, walk amongst the dead and discover the rich tapestry of history and heritage on a walking tour of Forest Cemetery in Coeur d’Alene. Nestled in the heart of the city, Forest Cemetery is more than just a resting place — it’s a living museum where history and nature converge. These guided tours offer an immersive journey through time, highlighting the stories of notable figures and local legends from the good to the bad to the ugly. Tours take place by flashlight at dusk (7 to 8:30pm) on Fridays and Saturdays and in the afternoon (1:30 to 3pm) on Sundays.

Notable Men 1 (September 20 and October 6): The early founders of North Idaho and local legends who helped shape our community into what it is today
Notable Men 2 (October 12 and 27): *NEW* with many names you’ll recognize today, these influential men helped pave the way for a modern society
Notable Women (September 22 and 28, and October 19): Men weren’t the only influential members of our community. These women defied norms and left their own mark, helping turn Coeur d’Alene into the thriving community it is today.
