A fundraising event for the Hayden Chamber of Commerce, the annual Outdoor European Christmas Market returns this December 6 and 7! Over 80 vendors will gather together at Elks Lodge #1254 in Coeur d’Alene to take you on a magical journey for a unique holiday shopping experience! The smell of bratwurst, roasted nuts, pastries, Lefse, gingerbread, hot mulled spiced wine and hot cocoa, with the sound of festive music, and the glimmer of sparkling Christmas ornaments and gifts ready for giving and tasting, all in a cozy atmosphere! You will have a chance to make your own Christmas wreath from pine boughs cut just a few days before and be the first to see the largest sculpture made with Cotton Candy that could be close to a world record in size! Also enjoy cozy, warming fires and twinkly lights! Hours are 4 to 8pm Friday and 9am to 5pm Saturday. Admission is $5 (cash only) and free for children 10 and younger. Visit Facebook.com for all of the details about this year’s event!

My name is Jillian, and I have been an editor and writer here in Coeur d’Alene since 2006, during which time I’ve had the opportunity to work for nine publications across North Idaho, into Spokane and as far as Gig Harbor, Washington. I am grateful to have the opportunity to now focus all my attention, energy and passion on my local community, finding and sharing heartfelt stories, spotlighting the incredible people, showcasing local businesses, organizations and nonprofits, and of course highlighting the many wonderful events our area has to offer.
