Hospice of North Idaho invites the community bereaved to join in the 43rd Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony, a cherished tradition that offers space for reflection on the loss of loved ones. This heartfelt event held on December 12 includes special readings, poems, live music, and the symbolic lighting of trees and candles. Attendees will also take part in a special memorial walk, complete with warm beverages, sweet treats, and a keepsake ornament. They are offering two ceremony times: 4:30pm and 6pm. This is a free indoor/outdoor event. Please reserve the time slot you intend to attend through the ticketing feature found online at HospiceofNorthIdaho.org.

My name is Jillian, and I have been an editor and writer here in Coeur d’Alene since 2006, during which time I’ve had the opportunity to work for nine publications across North Idaho, into Spokane and as far as Gig Harbor, Washington. I am grateful to have the opportunity to now focus all my attention, energy and passion on my local community, finding and sharing heartfelt stories, spotlighting the incredible people, showcasing local businesses, organizations and nonprofits, and of course highlighting the many wonderful events our area has to offer.
