For more than a decade, Emerge has been a cornerstone for the artistic community — a space where aspiring artists can showcase their work, where community members of all ages can explore their creativity, and where inclusivity and inspiration thrive. From hosting free community events to offering diverse art classes, Emerge has been a vital source of opportunity and creativity.
However, Emerge is has been hit with a major hurdle. A technicality has resulted in the denial of a critical $50,000 annual grant that has sustained their operations for the past four years. This sudden loss threatens their ability to provide vital programs, maintain their safe, inclusive space, and continue supporting artists, musicians and the broader community.
Emerge’s impact is undeniable, having invested $40,000 in community events, supported more than 40 artists and makers through its retail shop and online platforms, organized regular youth art experiences and provided paid internships for individuals seeking experience in the art field. In 2024, Emerge exhibited the work of 250 local artists, provided a stage for more than 50 musicians, and offered 95 art classes and workshops (and counting).
Every contribution through Emerge’s Help From Friends Campaign, no matter the size, makes a tangible difference in helping Emerge continue these programs and opportunities. Your support bridges the funding gap and ensures that this vital community space remains a place that uplifts, educates and inspires.
