The community is invited to celebrate this exciting new chapter for Coeur d’Alene with the Museum of North Idaho’s Grand Opening. After much anticipation, the MONI team can not wait to share the museum’s new home at their beautiful, and historic, location near the base of Tubbs Hill.
Museum of North Idaho, which showcases North Idaho’s rich heritage and vibrant stories, celebrates its Grand Opening Celebration April 18 and 19, 2025. Friday, April 18, is the Grand Opening and Ribbon Cutting. This opening-day celebration kicks off with a multi-chamber ribbon cutting (11am), Bryan Elementary School chorus, pop-up history talks, local author book signings and meet and greets, and free admission to the museum, concluding at 5pm. Due to the high volume of attendees that is expected, there will be volunteers monitoring the doors to maintain safe capacity throughout the weekend. Visitors should expect there to be a line to enter.
Saturday, April 19, gather your family and friends for a day with the museum with their Easter Egg Hunt starting at 1pm. There will be vendors on-site offering face painting, cotton candy and popcorn, and Pony Go Round will be there with a pony petting zoo. The Easter egg hunt is for children 12 and younger. Parents’ admission to the museum will be half price, while admission for kids 12 and younger will be free.
The Museum of North Idaho is located at 720 East Young Avenue in Coeur d’Alene. Learn more about the museum online at MuseumNI.org or Facebook.com/MuseumofNorthIdaho.
