2024 marks the ninth annual Post Fallidays Tiny Tree Festival, generously sponsored by Heritage Health. Blending the spirit of the holidays with strong community involvement, the event sees success year after year.
From the beautifully decorated tiny tree displays, festive brunch and opportunity to support local causes, “It’s an event that brings joy while fostering connections among businesses, nonprofits and residents,” according to Christina Petit, president and CEO of the Post Falls Chamber.
Held 10am to noon on Saturday, December 7, at the Club at Prairie Falls in Post Falls, tickets are available through December 1, with 160 tickets available. “Historically, tickets go fast because this event has become a holiday tradition for so many,” Christina explains. “It’s a family friendly event that brings the magic of the holidays to life; the perfect way to kick off the holiday season.”
Christina says they are expecting close to 30 creatively decorated trees for the event, each uniquely designed by local businesses and organizations. There will be a handful of beautifully decorated centerpieces to bid on as well. Beyond the tree auction, attendees will enjoy a delicious brunch catered by the team at the Club at Prairie Falls, mimosa bar sponsored by Ziply Fiber and holiday entertainment.
“For many, the highlight is seeing the creativity of the tree decorators and the friendly competition to win awards like ‘Most Creative’ or ‘People’s Choice,’ and the competition between the Post Falls Police Department and Kootenai County Fire and Rescue,” Christina smiles.
Last year’s event raised a record $14,000-plus, with the highest bid going to the “Gnome for the Holidays” tree, donated by Knudsten Chevrolet. “The tree featured charming gnome-themed decorations and additional gifts like gift cards and holiday treats, making it a standout in the auction,” Christina notes. “It was a close race though, as Coldwell Banker brings an amazing tree every year, and the difference in the revenue generated was under $50.”
This year’s proceeds will support the Post Falls Chamber of Commerce’s educational and community development programs, helping the Post Falls Chamber provide resources and opportunities for businesses and residents alike.
“I’d like to encourage everyone to attend and experience the magic of the Post Fallidays Tiny Tree Festival,” Christina adds. “It’s a heartwarming event that truly captures the spirit of the season, and it’s all for a great cause. Don’t miss out!”
