Ironman 70.3 Coeur d’Alene returns Sunday, June 22, 2025—and it’s one of the most scenic and athlete‑friendly races in North America. Set against the backdrop of pristine Lake Coeur d’Alene, the half‑Ironman challenges participants with a 1.2‑mile swim, a 56‑mile hilly bike and a 13.1‑mile run through historic lakeside neighborhoods.
Athletes start at dawn with a rolling swim launch in calm, clear lake waters—an internationally‑voted #1 swim course. After transitioning at Coeur d’Alene City Park, they tackle the bike: one loop around the north and west shores, navigating rolling hills and breathtaking lake views. The course then wraps up with two run loops along the shore, past historic homes and cheering spectators, finishing downhill at a lively downtown resort finish line.
Race day begins with transition opening at 4:30am, and rolling age‑group starts begin at 6am. The celebratory Ironman Village runs from 8am to 4pm, featuring vendor booths, athlete services and post‑race food.
Coeur d’Alene will be bustling the days leading up to the event, as about 2,000 athletes are expected for this year’s Ironman. Whether you’re racing or cheering, Ironman 70.3 Coeur d’Alene offers unforgettable summer energy—and a true lakeside escape.
